Look into my eyes, not around the eyes ……
When you think about hypnosis you’ll probably conjure up images of stage hypnotists or The Little Britain hypnotist with his snazzy waist coat and tiny goatee. All great fun but sometimes it can scare equestrians and sports people away from what can be a truly powerful tool in the crusade for a high performing mindset. So I really hope you don’t mind indulging me over the next few posts so I can give you a lot more information on the use of sports hypnosis, calm your fears about using such a powerful tool in your quest to be the best version of yourself and what it can do for you.
So, to keep it brief and not keep you at your screen for too long I thought I would start with what is sports hypnosis? Here’s the long winded Wikipedia description:
Sports hypnosis refers to the use of hypnotherapy with athletes in order to enhance sporting performance. Hypnosis in sports has therapeutic performance-enhancing functions. The mental state of athletes during training and competition is said to impact performance.
That’s right, sports hypnosis can actually help you become a better rider, help you learn new stuff and improve your competition results. Sounds too good to be true doesn’t it? Well believe me when I tell you I have seen vast improvements in my client’s results and what they can achieve over the last 15 years. I hold not just one diploma in hypnotherapy but I actually have two and a lot more besides including specialist qualification in Sports Hypnosis and NLP (I’ll tell you all about NLP in another post)
Sports Hypnosis is one of the most powerful and rapid tools I use with my one to one clients we have literally performed miracles over a few sessions, that’s right it doesn’t take months and months. It takes weeks! Also, the members of my Positive Mind Positive Ride Membership Group have constant access to a whole library of hypnosis recordings for them to use whenever they feel the need. It only costs less than a cup of posh coffee a week and you get access to the hypnosis recordings, audio downloads, mini workshops all designed to help you improve and keep working on your peak performance mindset.
In the next post we will talk about what hypnosis is and why you shouldn’t be afraid to use it.
Until next time
